Invisalign can be less painful when compared to conventional braces. Although patients might feel some discomfort during the time that Invisalign aligners are being installed on their teeth they will feel less than traditional braces. The most pronounced pressure will feel when the aligners have to be changed during the course of treatment.
The aligners have to be worn an average of 18-22 hours per day. The dentist may design new aligners within two weeks, and then replace the original ones by a brand new set. Invisalign should not be used when eating, as chewing or biting could cause damage. Each day, you should clean your aligners. Make sure you brush them lightly with a brush or soak them in the water using a cleaning solution.
